 Mommy save me (2014) is a Hong Kong horror film directed by Wilson Yip and starring Cecilia Cheung, Andy Lau, and Leon Lai. The film is about the young woman who is haunted by the ghost of her dead mother.

One of the things that makes Mommy save me so effective is its atmosphere. The film is dark and moody, with a sense of dread that hangs over every scene. This is due in part of to the cinematography, which is often dark and atmospheric, and the sound design, which uses eerie sound effects to create a sense of unease.

The film also features some truly terrifying imagery, such as the ghost of the mother, who is pale and gaunt with long, black hair. The filmmakers use a variety of techniques to make the ghost appear more realistic, such as CGI and prosthetics. This results in a truly chilling and haunting image.

* The films exploration of the mother- daughter relationship is complex and nuanced. The films shows how this relationship can e both loving and suffocating, and how it can be shaped by trauma.

* The films social commentary is also insightful. The film explores themes such as the pressures of  motherhood, the expectations placed on women, and the stigma associated with mental illness.

* The films ending is both ambiguous and satisfying. It leaves the viewer with something to think about, but it also provides a sense of closure.

I highly recommended Mommy Save Me to anyone who enjoys a well- made horror film with a strong emotional core.🤩❤️
