1. Nilaweli Beach, Trincomalee
This is the beach around our campus. That means the beach around the trincomalee campus, Eastern University. So to tell you the truth, the sea is the place i loved the most in my life. So before i could see the sea only if we went on a trip to a beach. Even so, I could not stay looking at the sea for a long time, but now there is no such situation. I can always go to the sea and stare at it for a long time. So this photo is one i took on such a day. On November 05, 2023 i and some of my friends decided to go for a sea view in the evening. So we left for it around 4.00 pm. Then we reached it by 4. 15 pm and some friends were chatting with each other and i moved away from there along the sand. Then i stood under a tree in the corner of the sand and looked at the sea for a long time. There i asked my self about many things in my life and remembered. I have thought about many things here. So that's a great freedom for me. This place helped me a lot to free my self from the pressure of thinking about those things in a free place where there is no one. So here's a nice picture i took from my phone camera as i was getting ready to leave.🤟
2. Kuragala prag Viharaya, Balangoda
This is the kuragala temple. The elderly society in our village took us to see this kuragala temple. Accordingly, I present the information i found about the kuragala temple. The kuragala prag viharaya located in Balangoda, Sri lanka is an archeological site dating back to the 2nd year BC. It is the oldest archeological site in the Middle Zone and covers over 30 caves, some of which may have housed 2000 - 3000 people. The temple complex consists of stupa, a pond and a water tank. These caves are used by monks for meditation and religious activities. Stupa is a sacred ceremony monument and is used for pond and religious ceremonies. The temple is located in a scenic area surrounded by hills and forests and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
3. Nelligala Buddhist temple, Murutalawa
This picture show Nelligala International Buddhist Temple. I took this picture when i saw it for the first time while riding a motorcycle with a friend of mine. But so far i have been there more than three times because it is located in the area where we live. So some information about that can be presented as below. Nelligala Vihara, a Buddhist temple located in Murutalawa in the kandy district of Sri Lanka. Is a popular tourist destination with stunning views and unique architecture. Built in 2015, it houses golden Buddha statues and Buddhist relics. Visitors can enjoy meditation, chanting and peaceful atmosphere. Offering stunning views and trekking opportunities across tea plantations and forests, the temple is a popular spot for nature lovers. It is a beautiful and peaceful place for those who are interested in buddhism, nature or relaxation.
4. Kadadora Viharaya, Nuwara Eliya
Kadadora vihara, also known as Kadadora sri priyabimbaramaya vihara, is an abandoned Buddhist temple in kadadora, Nuwara Eliya district, Sri Lanka. Built in the early 20th century, it was home to statues of Buddha and other f religious artifacts. The ruins were exposed in 2009 and 2016, but are now submerged. Despite being underwater, kadadora Vihara remains an important religious site for Buddhist in Sri Lanka, reminding them of the country' s rich religious heritage and the sacrifices made to build the kotmale Reservoir.
5. Temple of the Tooth, Kandy
In the district where i live, one of the places that gives world heritage value is the Sri Dalada Palace in Kandy. Therefore, because of that heritage, we are humble and proud as the people living in that district and here is a brief description about it. The Sri Dalada Palace in Kandy, Sri Lanka is a UNESCO world heritage site and should be considered. It is also place of Buddhist pilgrimage. Build by King 1 vimaladharmasuriya in the 16th century, the Buddha' s tooth is enshrined here. Visitors can participate in daily pujas, which display the relic in a golden casket. The temple complex also houses a museum, a library and a sacred lake. This beautiful and serene place is a must visit for those interested in Buddhism and Sri Lankan Culture.
6. Ambuluwawa Tower, Gampola
I went to see Ambuluwawa with a friend of mine, we went to Gampola early in the morning and reached this station. Let us give a brief description about it as follows. Ambuluwawa is a mountain peak located in the knuckles mountain range in Gampola, Sri lanka. It is famous for its spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and its biodiversity. Ambuluwawa is also home to a number of historical and cultural sites, including the Ambuluwawa Trigonometrical station built in 1897.
7. Peradeniya Botanical Garden, Peradeniya
Peradeniya Botanical Garden is a place that i and everyone in family choose to visit almost every moment when they nedd to spend free time. Actually, my sister and i go there and spend happy time with mom and dad. Ok, this is the description of that garden. Established in 1821, the peradeniya Botanical Garden in Sri Lanka covers over 60 hectares and is home to over 4000 plant species from around the world. The garden is famous for its collection of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. The garden also feature lakes, springs and whild life such as monkeys, squirrel and birds. Orchid house, Avenue of palms spice garden, medicinal plant garden and giant java fig tree are some f its highlights. The gardens are a popular tourist destination, offering a peaceful experience and an opportunity to learn about Sri Lanka's rich plant life.
